What was Ezekiel Harry cause death?
The Terrebonne Parish Coroner’s Office determined that severe blunt force trauma to the head was the cause of death.
Both the mother, Maya Jones, 28, and her live-in partner, Jermaine Robinson, 37, are reportedly in arrest and are being investigated for first-degree murder in connection with Harry’s passing.
Following the discovery that Ezekiel Harry was missing, the Louisiana State Police issued a warning for endangered children across the state.
Jones informed authorities that Ezekiel Harry had been kidnapped by someone in a gray truck close to the 100 block of Mahler Street, according to Houma Police.
Police said they later found out that the information was false.
Jones abandoned her on Cadiere Street with Ezekiel Harry and her other three kids, according to Houma Police.
According to police, the family started visiting adjacent homes in the Bayou Terrebonne region to inform them that their child had been kidnapped.
Ezekiel Harry, according to Houma police, was discovered in a black duffel bag in a garbage can on Daspit Street.
The duffel bag with Harry’s body inside was being carried by Jones and Robinson, according to surveillance footage made public by the Houma police.
The district attorney for Terrebonne Parish stated that Jones and Robinson would likely face first-degree murder charges and that the case might even result in a death sentence prosecution.
Before deciding whether to seek the death penalty, the district attorney said he will examine his options with the victim’s family.
